About Simon

I’m Simon Williams, the founder of Spencer Vibes.

Alongside building Spencer Vibes, my professional background is rooted in national charities in the UK charity sector, where I work at senior leadership and chief executive level. My day-to-day work focuses on building long-term, sustainable and meaningful organisations that people can turn to and trust.

That experience strongly shapes how I approach Spencer Vibes.

I’m not interested in fast growth at the expense of people, nor in extractive relationships that benefit one side more than the other. The same principles that matter in the charity world — transparency, fairness, and clarity — matter just as much here.

Why Spencer Vibes exists

Spencer Vibes began as a response to noise, urgency and overconsumption. I wanted to create something quieter: a place where products are chosen carefully, stories are respected, and relationships are built slowly.

That philosophy extends naturally to working with independent makers. I believe craftsmanship deserves space, context and respect — not pressure or volume-driven expectations.

Writing and long-term thinking

I’m also the author of a Notes from a Quieter Place centred on calm living, intention and stepping away from constant urgency. Writing has reinforced my belief that the things we choose to bring into our lives — including the objects we live with — should earn their place.

That long-term mindset is central to how I work with makers. I’m not building a marketplace or chasing short-term trends. I’m building something designed to last.
